The name of that material people use to keep snails and fish out of their overflow. It looks like black plastic mesh. Its bendable as well.

depending on how big you need, you can get smaller 8"X8" plastic mesh at michaels craft store....its used for embroidery abd runs like $.35 a sheet I believe....and it comes in all sorts of colors including clear, black and white.

You can also get mesh with ~1/4" holes that's in HD for livestock fencing.
