what is the best controler

It depends on what you want to control. What functions do you desire?

Yeah the site Big D posted is pretty good. That's probably the best way for you to decide. I guess you really need to consider your budget, ease of use, and/or what features you are looking to use. The two most popular controllers in this club are the Reefkeeper and Aquacontroller.

Big D - Did you ever get that site going?

Between the reefkeeper II and the ACjr, I would pick the ACjr for price plus features. (And that is saying something considering that I own a RKII)

aqua controllers are not sealed very good, I've had one years and the board got so corroded I had to clean it all out with circuit board cleaner, everything was a nice green fuzzy copper color

the ph probe circuit is shot now :(

my next will be a reefkeeper 2

I love my rk2. It doesn't control orp, so if that is a concern you can go with a different controller or buy a seperate one for orp like I did.

the rk2 looks pretty cool too. very easy to program/use
