What is this? Found in skimmer when dumping. mantis? Some nice friendly, highly beneficial and charming critter ?

Thicker and longer than a typical frozen mysis is the only way I can think to describe since i tossed it a bit ago

very weird ive never seen something that looks like that and isnt sessile.

I'd have said sponge too.

Does it have a carapace? (Shell = like a shrimp).

That's a new one on me too, but you've piqued my curiosity.

They had no shell, not an outsider, there were approx 3-4 found, we live in an apt with no interior decay, the people are more scary than the bugs. It almost looked like a dragonette but nothing we found shows where one could look like stage. The only shrimp we have is a peppermint, the coral banded beautiful lobster I had we donated to our supplier because "kane" was too big and had a twitch (surely not him nipping being mean haha) that made him pinch our fish. Not a crab, we don't know what the heck they were. Hubby said maybe a mysis or something of the sort or frozen cube had a survivor . Crazy.
