This is on the side of my tank tonight. Does anybody know what this might be? It is very small. Thanks

Asterina sea star. Most are harmless - that one looks like the harmless variety. Film algae feeders, they reproduce by fission (splitting) which is why some legs are longer than others.

Thank you very much. Does it get any larger? I almost missed this one it was so small.
 
I have some that are smaller than a pencil eraser and some that are bigger than a dime..

Some with 4 legs, some with 8 legs.. LOL
 
Biggest one I ever saw had a leg-span about as wide as a dime. Most are much smaller than that, maybe about the size of the eraser on the end of a pencil.
