What kind and how do I get rid of it

Cyanobacteria. You can use chemiclean to get rid of it but it will come back. Usually happens when parameters get unstable or overfeeding fish..or amino. Your phosphates could be low..there's a bunch of reasons why it could be showing up. Chemicals can provide a temporary solution but the best thing is to figure out what caused it in the first place. You can shut off flow and gently brush it into a siphon with water changes. I'm sure someone here has a good solution for you.
 
Screenshots I’ve saved to answer just these questions! Slow change is better than chemical in my opinion.

Manual removal, water changes and better nutrient management. Looks like a relatively new tank with more fish than corals, so I'm guessing parameters aren't dialed in and nutrients are high.
