what kind of eggs is this???

I noticed these eggs in the back of my tank. There is about 15-20 of these sacks. can anybody ID these for me. let me know if they are good or bad..

i have nassarius snails that breed in my tank, and their eggs are more water drop shaped. they will hatch if left alone. at least mine did. i had only a few that made it, but you would notice little snails with soft looking shells. they grow fast too.
 
I'm not so sure those are snail eggs.....very interesting I must say.
 
Friend or foe? No idea. I would play it safe and destroy them... but that's just me :).
 
The best that I can find is that they are from the conch family of snails and that they reproduce quite well in captivity. Some online sources have said that they are quite good grazers, I haven't seen any bad remarks as to them not being reef safe.

Yes, those are strombus snails...you can watch them develop right in their sac... then crawl right out of them. I used to trade them with other reefers.

thanks alot guys, I watched them closely last night, with a mag. glass, and did notice that a few has already started developing.
