What mesh filter sock

Of those of you who use filter socks, do you use 100 micron, 200 micron, or some other number? I am using 100 micron and they really plug up fast. Thinking of going to 200 micron but will this let too much stuff get by?

200 is what most use.

I guess it all depends on how much you want to polish your water.
common sizes go from 300 down to 25.
the smaller the number the more often you will be changing out the socks, that also mean you'll be taking out more water born particulates even the good ones.

+1 I'm using 25 microns up to 200 microns and rotating them over the course of a month. I over feed my tanks and the socks keep it out of the sump.
