im going to probally start out with koralia's not sure if i should go with a couple of 4s or 3s. the other option is a vortec. is a mp40 enough? tank is a 60gal cube. aprox size is 24"x24"x24" .also my tank will be mostly sps with caribean sea reef sand for the bed.

Go with 2x#3's. The 4's are huge in size for a 60 cube. I hate the way they look in my 180 at work.
Shouldn't be a problem even if they are coming from the back, hitting the sides and bouncing off of the front glass to cover the entire tank. They have a good undertow too.
Editing bc I didn't see the vortec option. Do it!
2 friends of mine here with 65 cube builds on here are using them and love them. Pretty clean looking and adjustable.

Instead of one MP40, I would look at two MP10s. The MP10 is $194, and two would cost about the same as the MP40. You cannot hook them up in a master/slave configuration, but you should get all the flow you need. You might PM Jeremy about the MP10. I think he has two in operation in a 60 cube.

I have a 60 cube as well, and I use one MP20, but this is an LPS tank, and does not require as much flow as in an SPS setup.

The 40 would be all you need and can be transfered to any tank upgrade you may have in the future. One 40 would be perfect

I have 2 MP10s in my 30 cube!! Its way overkill, and I have them dialed down. I love these **** pumps. The battery backup is SO worth it.
