What size hole for 1 bulhead

Just need to know what size the hole should be in my glass for 1" bulhead fitting?

It depends on the bulkhead. Most of the standard sch. 40 bulkheads are 1 3/4 or 1 7/8. Sch. 80 1" bulkheads require a 2 inch hole. I prefer the beefier sch. 80 bulkheads if you have enough room. They usually come with thicker o rings and are not as brittle as the 40s.
