what temp. themometer to use?

What kind of temperature themometer should I be using on my tanks? Currently I have the Coralife digital themometer. I have four of them, two new, two old, and all of them are displaying completely different results within 2 or 3 degress difference in the same tank, same position. I am trying to run my 36watt uv sterilizer but can't if I don't know the true temp. of my tanks.

Any suggestions?

I recommend, the Pinpoint Wireless Thermometer. They are very acurate and you can have up to 4 remote sensors for all of your tanks all on one thermometer.

I just read about the pinpoint themometer. How long have you had yours? Have you ever had a fluctuation of 2 or more degrees at any given point within a short period of time.
My themometer is switching temps of 2 or 3 degrees, even higher, within one hour. Doesn't seem possible that the readings are correct. I can feel the water and know the temp. is not that high. All my corals are showing great polyp extension so I'm not too concerned, but I need to run my uv.
