Could someone please explain to me exactly how I have orange flatworms and asterina stars now?.....I've never had them in my tanks before and since I moved the tank to it's new location.....I have a small colony of flatworms and a few asterinas....trust I scope my tank daily for hitchhikers and such....and these have never been in here....and there VCR been no additional rocks/corals added since the move.....ugh!

You had them but just never noticed them before probably. The population was probably so low that they were not an issue. I bet you have had a slight change in the food available to them and their populations have responded to it.

I have seen population fluctuations of flatworms and asterinas in my own systems. I'm sure they are still there, just in numbers so low they do not appear to be there.

Quite the case I'm sure.....all the flatworms are congregated on one rock forthe most part.....and of course it has to be a rock that's holding up much more rock....guess I'll siphon them and maybey mckoskers wrasse will for some strange reason decode he likes their taste....

this same thing happened when I moved all the live stock from my 30 cube into my 110, massive flatworm outbreak and I never had them in the cube . Fat dose of flatworm exit did the trick :)

That will be my last resort if they get outta hand......I try to keep from going the chemical route as much as I can...and btw....I love how on my last post my phone decides it knows how to type better than I do and makes no sense whatsoever!!!....stupid iPhones..
