I bought some live brine from Petland the other day, and I am curious as to any over the counter food I can give them to keep them alive. I know I should feed them the seachem or other reef made product, but there has to be something I already have (cornmeal, flower, sugar) they may eat...I don't do the live food thing often so I really cannot justify buying another chemical (that costs more than the brine did).

sorry that was a rant and question at the same time...like a power question!:D

Ask Sal at SWC he sells a ton of those things im sure he will know what works and what doesnt

hatching brine is as easy. they are are healthy to feed in their first 12 hours or so.
I spent like 20 bucks for an unlimited setup.

you can get all this locally as I did. I got it at The Avarium in Duluth.

I have a hatchery, I used to use it for my FW fish, but they all outgrew the baby brine so I switched to freeze dried. Now I have some live, and they all love 'em. I have them in a little 2.5 with a heater and air stone, but I don't know how long they can go without something to eat...

my brine go about a week without food but when i do feel like feeding them they eat green microalgae so i get some from my tank and throw it in... this was back when i had a freshwater.. right now my hatchery isnt running because i have no tank setup :)

just hatch enough for a day or 2. then do it again. & again.
