What would be the best product to use in the sump area to rubber coat it? I want to make the sump area to hold water if I spring a leak.

Thank you Bruce

i wouls a pond liner, I am not sure but the shower liner might be like a pool liner and not be salt water friendly.

I would use*

Ive got a 20L sump sitting in a 5" high plastic bin from wal-mart. It will hold up to 4gal of overflow just in case my sump should somehow over flow. I have a overflow box on my 90 so if my return pump fails my sump should hold 7-10 gals.

The shower PAN (not liner) stuff from Home Depot or Lowes. It's rubber and like 1/16" thick. It's flexible yet still stiff enough that you can tack the corners and it can make "sides". FWIW, shower pan is thicker than the pond liner materials I've seen.
