Whats a good microscope??

I'm asking for one from Santa. What would be a good microscope under $200 that I could look at water samples and parasites and stuff?

LOL, I'm a hobbiest so I don't think I need anything over $200. I just need something simple with OK optics.

Check out Edmund Scientific, they have all kinds of stuff and specialize in optics/microscopes. Pages and pages...

Yeah, I would think so. The only thing you need 1000x for (the next higher magnification) is looking at cell slices, and that requires oil immersion to do correctly, and that costs more $$$. Good luck.
