I have the same watt per gallon as there tank 5.7 watts. mine are t5s and the lfs are mh.I know my tank is better in water quality then theres. so what can i do to help my monti and acros? is my light good enough what kind of food do i need to feed? just want to know if theres anyone that might know of something that works well for these corals. thanks for any info

your dkh is very high. You also need to maintain & test magnesium of at least 1200 and phosphates below 0.028 or so.

my dkh when up to 14 after i put my calcium reactor on my tank it was around 7 to 9 before the reactor. i can check for phosphates but never in two years ever been able to detect phosphates in my tank.would my cal be 420 if my mag was low. i can check it to.

ok i will do that in a min are two. how can i get my dkh down go higher on my reactor like 480?

To lower the dkh, you can either increase the effluent drip or lower the bubble count (which will save you on co2 as well). As far as calcium up, dose a two part into the system, or some calcium supp. to get it where you want it. A ca rector is best for maintaining your systems levels, not raising them.

exactly. get all your numbers where you want them first.

ok. phosphates checked 0. my mag checked out at 1225. i havent had to dose are raise my calcium reactor from day one that i put it one my tank. so i need to set my reactor like 350 and let it maintain that and dose it to 400+ so that my DKH will come down. whats the point in haveing a calcium reactor if you still have to dose with calcium. i dont under stand that help me out. thanks
