I cleaned my glass thoroughly today while on a conference call, and it looks amazing now.

Hmmm... I 3d-printed some frag racks, that was pretty cool to be able to do.

It wasn't fun - rather, more than a little stressful - but I also did an H2O2 dip on a number of my frags that had some GHA growing out. The result has been nice though, watching the GHA die off over the next few days and seeing the corals start to flourish more, especially the favia frag that was showing signs of distress, with a bright orange edge where the GHA was and insane polyp extension like it was engaging in warfare, despite the other favia frag next to it (which is growing nicely) having never once extended any polyps at all that I've seen.

The most fun thing really though was adding new livestock, especially the porcelain crab and feather duster that finally brought some life into my refugium.

And finally... water changes are... less than fun. A royal pain in my butt, to be honest, because of the chore of making the water, draining and then refilling... but I DO have to admit the result is always enjoyable, especially since I take the water out of the fuge (because it needs heavy siphoning from all the detritus buildup and diatom mats) and love seeing it clean and sparkling. Not fun, per se, but definitely rewarding.

I finally got this Alkatronic to work. I had to get tons of parts including the tubings from China.

First 3 test was pretty close to my Hanna for dkh and Apex for the pH.

But now, it’s reading higher each time. I’m going to let it settle for sometime and see what happens.

That's such a great feeling. I just took a break from hooking up my Neptune DOS. I have been putting it off and putting it off because I knew it was going to be work. But the fun part will be is when the dosing is just happening automatically without me having to do anything.
