I bought it in June last year in an eBay auction advertised as a lepto but after the seller admitted he was stumped and that it just came with a shipment of livestock , I gave a few pieces away last Christmas but no one knows just what it is

It definitely doesn't produce sweepers of any kind the only polyps extension is very tiny polyps as small and smaller than most acro polyps but u can see some in the pictures its a slow grower lots of guess tends to lean toards favite when the lighting it all on because its more retracted , it puffed up a little more under blue only in the evening and it wont tolerant high light and retracts in to the skeleton in too much light and flow so I guess it could be lps but I think this is one of those situations where those loosely used terms like lps and sps dont suit best .
Any guesses ?

very hard to tell in those pics. Could be anything from favia to an encrusting hydinophora

Thanks fellas , lithophylon looks pretty good for an ID , the polyp match and its got a similar mouths and ridges.
I've never heard of this coral , no way I'd have found that alone.
Now I know what to call it when I cut it again.
