I am curious as to when we can expect the price of yellow tangs to go down if ever. Will more people begin breeding them or will the shortage just stay.

The Hawaii ban really messed things up. I don't think they are the easiest fish to breed either as in, I don't think most hobbyists could breed them. There are a few captive breeders but its supply and demand right now. Until and unless they remove the Hawaii ban, you are likely to see them remain expensive.
The price will go down. More people will be breeding them, and the shortage wont stay that way forever. ...if anything, simply because humans are resourceful and the demand is high. The fact that they have already been successfully bred will help accelerate this.
That said, i dont know if anyone can accurately predict precisely when the price will go down, nor to what extent it will do so. It could be years.
