When to add Matrix?

I am setting up a new system and was wondering when the appropriate time to add my new matrix to the system is. Do i wait for the cycle to be done or do i put it in at the beginning?

that would be the biofilter media and you can put that in at anytime but the sooner the better

Think of Matrix in very basic terms as little rocks that will eventually become live. They give the bacteria that are involved in the nitrogen cycle another place to hang out. So, the idea is to grow bacteria so your tank will cycle, and the more places they have to go, the better. Put Matrix in from day 1.
