Where are the best places to put closed loop holes

I'm getting ready to drill my 300 DD (72"l x 36"w x 27"h) for a closed loop. I'm going to put a 3000 gph pump on it with an 1 1/2" ocean motion. I'm looking for opinions on what is the bes location for the intake holes and return holes? Please post your thoughts. I'm thinking 2 in the bottom for returns and 2 in the back for intakes. Not sure what to do with the other 2?

What about the last 2 over the top maybe the front corners blowing back toward rock work since it is an in-wall build should be pretty easy to hide them.

why even drill holes? my closed loop works just fine with the piping over the back and covered with rocks and foam.
