I've got 3 pieces of war coral. All are in different locations but none are doing all that well. Mine are all under LED lighting. I was wondering for those that have this coral, where do you keep yours? Does this coral require high or low light? High or low water flow?

I keep mine on the sand bed of a 90 on the outside edge under a duncan colony. Its pretty shaded but grows well. I run a 36in 6x39 ATI sunpower so its in probably the darkest part of my tank. I used to keep it up on a rock for a while and it stayed grumpy until I moved it to its current location.

I've got mine on the sandbed in a 120 (4x2x2) and using MM LED's and t5 HO's. It fell there a couple of months ago and it looked like it liked the spot better. Not sure if it was because of flow (didn't seem to like higher flow areas that the SPS likes) or light, I liked the spot because it didn't sting everybody within a 3 inch area of it.

Mines on the sandbed as well under my AI kind of of to the side and is doing very well there. I just change the location o my MP10 and seems to like a little more flow than it was getting.

I have my colony in my 465 a couple inches above the bottom. It gets full light from 400 watt halides and the tank has 45,000 gph peak flow.

I don't think this is necessarily ideal for this coral, but it was part of a large chunk of live Rock I had when I moved the contents of the 300 gallon to the 465. It has grown since being placed in the 465, and I think it just shows this is an adaptable coral that can grow in a variety of placements.
