I am looking to have a 22x11x25 tank built. I figured I might as well ask the club...who I should go to?

I had been thinking that same thing, I just know that acrylic will weigh less. I want to place it on top of a 10 gallon steel stand. A basic 10 gallon aquarium is only a little over 9 gallons, while this tank will end up holding more like 25 gallons.
Which leads me to another question...Does anyone know if a steel 10 gallon aquarium stand will support the additional weight I am wanting to put on it?
Can't answer the question about the stand. But... glass tanks need a stand that supports around the edge of the tank. Acrylic is different in that the stand needs to support the bottom of the tank. Keep this in mind when looking at your stand and making a decision about tank material.

That couldn't be farther from the truth. I own a starphire tank and it does</em> scratch (and there's nothing I can do to repair it).
Wow, that's a narrow tank! The stand for a 10g tank was designed to carry a 10g tank. Even though it may be fully capable of handling a larger volume tank, you can't bet the farm on it. Also, a stand for an acrylic tank needs to support the tank differently than that of a standard glass tank. Even a custom glass tank may need to be supported differently. You'll want to check with whomever you purchase from to make sure you're not going to end up with a mess on your floor.
I didnt say glass doesnt scratch, I just said acrylic scratches WAAAAAAY easier.
Ive had 3 acrylic tanks and being extra careful they still looked like someone went at it with a brillo pad, I even repaired one of them and it made the acrylic all wavy. My starphire tank has one scratch in it after 3 years.
Either way if your putting it on a steel stand glass would work better but a 3/4" sheet of plywood would make it work fine for acrylic if you decide to go that route.
Not going to turn it into an argument, its OP's choice just saying for under 100g tank there really isnt any noticeable advantage to acrylic.
And either way OP, for a tank that size....why not just make it yourself? its not hard, and not expensive either.

I'd never trust a steel stand. I know folks use em with no real problems, but steel and salt water mix all too well into rust. With the added weight you'll be putting even more stresses on it. Plus, the typical 10g stands are sorta shoddy and I've seen the welds pop. You can get or build really nice much stronger wood stands and then you won't be restricted to your size either. I live in an apartment so I don't have a wood shop, but with a good (but cheap) hand cross cut saw and miter box saw you can make all the cuts you need. Then attach with glue and screws. Couldn't be much easier.
