where to by Acrylic Rods

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to get suggestions on where I can buy some acrylic rods. I want to use them in the same way that others have used fiberglass rods for rock work.

Home Depot or Lowes. Purchase the driveway markers then cut the tops off. Best item for the price.

I'm not sure as I've never purchased them but I know that many members here use them in their tanks. BrandonMason has a thread on them somewhere.

Hey! I have found them before at Howard Brother's hardware store, no, I don't work there, I just purchased them there before.

They are fiberglass. But if you have to have acrylic, you can order them (or pickup) from McMaster Carr.

Calsak Plastics in Lawrenceville sells acrylic rod stock I believe.

Acrylic rods can be purchased from tap plastics online its cheap less than a dollar a foot after shipping if I'm not mistaken

McMaster-Carr has them also (I think) if you want to do the online route.

Driveway markers are like .50 for a 3' rod.

but if you want acrylic i have 4 pieces of 24 inch each of a 0.375 thick so pm if you want then.
