Where to put media

I don't have a reactor, and need to had gfo or phosphate remover of some kind .What would be the way to go till I get a reactor.Put it in the sump.Or I have nice canister filter laying around.And what would be the best stuff to use for hair algae.

You can put in the sump where there is a lot of water movement. I would try to take as much of the hair algae out by hand. I would do this right before a water change to suck out the hair algae as you pull it off.

That I am planing on doing.Got 35 gal of water ready to go.

NO..... Stay away from that idea..... You will have a MESS on your hands..... There are reactors as low as $25 each. and they will be WAY safer....

Wish I would have known this yesterday. I was in Atlanta.I dont think there are any stores the sell them near me.Was going to do my water change tomorrow. Fiddle sticks.
