For those of us who run controllers or individual monitors I'd like everyones preference on where they put their probes and why?

Dump ... In the dump holder

I have a DA ReefKeeper Elite V2 with a PH, Temp, and Salinity probe. It is located in my sump in the middle refugium section. I put it there because that chamber maintains a contant water level.

Overflow. There it will show tank temp and ph. If a pump fails without you knowing about it the sump may be much cooler or warmer than the tank.

Temp in my DT overflow and another in my refugium overflow. PH & Orp in the return section of my sump. Another Ph probe sitting in the sumps main chamber.
