which fish to purchase over time

So what order should I get these fish in and are there any I should not get.
In another tank that I will be shutting down and moving to the 65gallon aquarium, I currently have a Ocellaris Clown fish, yellowtail goby, chromis. and am hoping to have 2-3 clams, SPS and LPS, mushrooms

These are my thoughts of fish that I might like. What are your thoughts? I know this is more than the tank could handle, so help eliminate. Also what order could you get them in.
- Maroon clownfish,
- Bicolor angelfish or pygmy angelfish,
- Kole yellow eye tang/mimic lemon peel tang/yellow tang,
- Azure damsel,
- Green mandarin dragonet.

Maroons get a lot bigger than ocellaris don't know how well they would do together.

Edit: Also some but not all have had issues with angels nipping at corals,although my flame hasn't so far,every fish is different but there is a chance

Maroons are WICKED fish. Right up there with some of the more evil damsels. If you put all those fish in, you'd have BIG problems.

IMHO, you also have a LOT of fish for a 65. Then again, I tend to understock.

The kole would be fine I think but that tank would be too small for the others in my opinion.

Seems like I should go with kole yellow eye tang, azure damsel, and green mandarin dragonet, ocellaris clown, gobie, chromis.

Would this be too munch in a 65 gallon.

I think that would be fine. I would plan on a pair of clowns though if I were you. Not to insult you (you may already know this) but make sure you add them one or two at a time with a least a week inbetween. Two weeks would be better. I think you will find that the kole becomes one of your favorites. I had one when I had my 35 and it was a great fish. One other I would suggest you look into assuming you will have a fine sand bed of at least a couple of inches would be a yellow coris wrasse. They are great fish. Very active, brite and get alone with everyone. They are extreamly hardy as well.

I think that would be alright as long as you add them overtime to allow your bio filtration to catch up. And it also depends on your maintenance schedule, filtration, etc. I do think you've narrowed it down to more applicable specimens, though.

I plan on adding extremely slowly. I'm making my list because I want to go onto it knowing what I want, then I'll just watch for sales on those specific fish at my LFS. Special occasions I might just splurge and purchase at full price, but I plan on taking a good bit longer than a year to be fully stocked with these fish.

Smart plan. In addition to looking for sales at the LFS, you will find a lot of people selling fish here on the forum. You can pick up some smoking deals. :yay:
