which is better for corals?

which would be a better light. 96W of HO T5 or 130W of PC. This would be for a 20H tank with a mix of corals.

I second David here... T5 is more versitile in the future and upgradable. Spend the few extra bucks on a DIY kit for a T5.

I love T-5's also. We are also having a powerbuy on T-5 retrofit kits right now. Hint Hint.

Would the T5s add any more heat over the PCs?

I've read if you overdrive them you want air flow over then. I think they run a bit warm but not like MH.

OK OK If you must go with a long tube light, I prefer T5 since URI now make Actinic T5 bulbs :thumbs:

I just bought T-5s from F&S's and I LOVE them! Within an hour of putting them on the tank all my corals opened up beautifully....and they were on sale....
