Which is the better coral saw and why?

Gryphon C-40
Gryphon AquaSaw
Inland DFS-100
Others?

The C-40 and DFS-100 are about the same price, the AquaSaw is about $100 more, is it worth it?

Looks like the C-40 comes with a diamond blade that contains copper. That would seem to make it inappropriate for reef tank use. So it comes down to the Gryphon AquaSaw at $369 vs the Inland DFS-100 at $249 (on sale).

The Gryphon for sure. I've used both and had trouble with the Inland blades as well as their customer service. The Gryphon Aquasaw is more expensive but in my opinion def worth the extra money.

Copper in a saw blade shouldn't be an issue. You aren't putting the blade in the tank.

We have an Inland... we've seen the Gryphon... if I could do it all over I'd probably get the Gryphon.

I suppose it can also depend on how much you use it. We beat up our Inland quite regularly - but it does the job. Main problem I've experienced with Inland, is back-orders. Seems like every time I want to order some saws, they are out of stock.

A lot of companies build to order now. Business is too competitive for OEM's and margins too thin to carry much inventory. The JIT model rules the day.

I like my Inland, it does a good job. I don't have any experience with the other.

gryphon hands down.better table, deeper throat[thats always good lol]and a much better lubrication/cooling setup[blade runs through a reservoir instead of that annoying drippy cup.]another nice thing is that most water is reclaimed instead of just running off the table and making a mess, its pretty well contained.
