I'm sure this question has been asked many times in the past, but I am looking into getting an all in one nano/pico.

I'm looking to keep some zoas at most, nothing that requires high light.

In everyones experiance, what would you recomend?

I'm not looking to spend more than $300 (not including stand) so elos is out, as well as some of the more advanced jbj's.

Thanks!

you sir, are right. I was just trying to remember the kits off the top of my head.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I have an AP24 for my frag tank and like it. Needed a few mods before I was happy with its performance, (upgraded the return pump, added some plexi baffles, etc) so keep those costs in mind as well.

You may be able to find a used Solana for $300, but not sure how much more you'd need for equipment. Since you're doing zoas, you don't NEED a skimmer, but the Tunze 9002 fits in most of those, I believe.

I thought so. I recommended the biocube, but if you coulda got a red sea at that price I woulda said jump on it.

I got a 29 gal JBJ with the Quad compact lights with stand and shipping for $300 from Dr F&S...looks pretty good so far

I agree. You will want to perform some mods on all of them. They work out of the box for the most part but you can make them run a lot better.

Aquapods were discontinued early last year. No more new ones anywhere that I know of (I got the last 2 24s from my distributor).

I have a used JBJ 24, a new BioCube 29 (both with stands) and a new Cardiff (both new on special) if you're interested in any of those, PM me for more info. Cardiff doesn't have a light, the others have PC stock lighting.

I wanted to set this up as a zoa tank. The rocks have a lot of surface area for zoas.

When I sell the big tank, I'll be getting a RSM...something about them really moves me.

If you do I'll buy the new skimmer from you :D. I think I have my wife talked into getting the sro 5000.

Nice! Yeah the co called me and said it's on back order..what crap...why didn't they state that on their site. Supposedly shipping to states now, but needs to go through customs and all that hubbub.
