just curious what anyone has experience with. I have been dosing manually each morning, which is not a problem except for when I go on vacation. So I'm trying to avoid any issues with my fish sitter and thought I might invest in a couple of pumps for my BRS 2 part solution. I know they (BRS) recommend the ones they supply, which are probably what I would get, however at $90+ each they seem expensive.

2 brs dosing pumps do the job for me

ok, I went ahead and picked up 2 brs dosing pumps. they're installed and I currently have the timer set to spread out the dosing evenly over a 24 hour period.

I have two questions though.

I have read that calcification mainly takes place during the day, so should I schedule the dosing to be heavier during the day?

I bought one timer for both pumps, which brs recommended, but I wanted to double check to see if there is agreement regarding dosing both parts at the same time. I do have the hose for each in a different part of the filter, with one going into the skimmer first and the other into the chamber for the return pump, so both are being well diluted. I am guessing it's a non issue since the pumps only add 1.1ml per minute, but just thought I'd confirm.
