I have a choice from 3 skimmers to put in my new sump under the 93 cube. I have a Red Sea Berlin Triple pass. It's worked great for me under my 92 corner. I also have a Nautilus TE Turbo-educator skimmer. Finally I have an ETSS Environmental Tower Super Skimmer. Which would you choose and why?

The Berlin is matched to a Mag 5 pump. I don't know if I even have a pump that would run either the Nautilus or the ETSS. If you've had experience with either of these skimmers, please direct me on pump size.

I would sell those 3 and buy one good skimmer :)

But, if I had to pick between the 3, I would go the ETSS route. It will outskim the other 2, but will require more power and work.

Raj...can you explain the comment? What kind of power are we talking and what kind of work?

I believe that Raj is saying that the pump you need to run is large and uses a lot of electricity.

Raj please correct me if I'm wrong.

I also say to get a reef octopus. They are good skimmers.

Downdraft skimmers need a high pressure pump, which are often high power pumps.

Got it. I was just out reading about the Nautilus....recommended pump is a Mag 7 or Quiet One 3000. No problem...I got a Mag 7 because that's what I use as a return pump.

I still may end up selling off and see if I can't find an Octopus skimmer at a reasonable price.
