I went on a four day trip and upon returning home, I have several patches of this strange white fuzz growing around most all of the mushrooms in my tank, including one small colony of Polyps that is covered.

What is this stuff and how do I get rid of it??? Google wasn't much help.

Here's a pic to help ID.

Looks kind of like a huge sponge colony I have growing in my tank. Doesn't seem to affect anything. Corals grow right up next to it. Mine looks a little more like cotton but is pretty close to this.

How is the flow in your tank?
I had a very similar issue that I was able to fix by simply increasing the flow in my tank.
Before I did this, it looked like it had snowed in my tank, especially on my live rock. Not sure if its the same thing going on but worth a try

They look like pineapple sponges to me. I had a foxface that would eat them when they appeared.
