ID please. Anyone ever seen this before? No ich and acting normal. Fish was qt for 7 week. Sorry iPhone camera

Could be were he has rubbed against a rock, an abrasion. He should be ok.

Pretty sure it's body flukes. Just put him back in qt

Hard to tell from the picture but does it look sort of like a pimple?

If so, it's likely Lymphocystis. Viral, brought on by stress (ie moving from QT to DT). Not of great concern, it will go away on its own.

It's more like a marshmallow stuck to him. A trusted source said infected tissue from the flukes. He had it in the main dt. Caught him out and put him qt after I noticed it. He's is currently in prozi.

Eyes cloudy? That's usually a telltale sign with flukes.

Nope. No cloudy eyes and eating well. I've seen eye flukes but nothing like this. Not sure what it is but just going to isolate him and see if the the pp helps. if not, I will try a fresh water dip (last resort). I put a cleaner shrimp in with him. Don't worry I will take him out later today, pp will kill it.

If it's Lymphocystis, the cleaner might try to pick it off... and the Prazi won't resolve it (but won't hurt either).

Lymphocystis is like a wart, viral in origin and usually resolves on its own, and usually does no harm unless it's on the mouth and impedes the creature's ability to eat - which this one doesn't.

I guess time will tell. Hope it resolves one way or another.
