Had about two paper towel's worth of water seep into the basement in an unfinished area in the same place where an outside leak in our supply line infiltrated about two months ago. And that was only after we hit 12 inches or so of rain towards the very end of the blitz.

Sometimes it is good to live up on the top of a hill.

Other than a few blips in the electricity, we have been really lucky here. Some of my neighbor's basements did get flooded, however.

Your lucky, I had about 9 billion papertowels worth of rain come to the basement. Another benefit of being in this hobby. I pulled out and pumped out about hundreds of gallons of water in about 1 hr. Crisis overted due to 100g stock tank and a mag18 constantly pumping water out for an hour (and working from home).

I had power loss 3 hours yesterday afternoon. I was starting to get pretty worried. I rushed home from work, but traffic was crazy. It took me 1.5 hours to get home only 10 miles. I stopped by Home Depot at Cumberland to buy aPortal Generator. Unfortunately, they were sold out. I went another HD and bought one. By the time I got home, power was back. My tank was safe... I need to buy a Vortech Battery Backup for in case I'm not home when the power goes out.

For the cost of a gasoline genertor and the Icecap battery abckups for the vortecs, I dont know why any wouldnt</em> have them. In realtions to the value in the tank.
