Why do my clowns hate my frag plugs?

I have a monti frag about mid way up on the scape and every time I come back to the tank after being away for a bit its down on the sand bed. Its wedged into a hole pretty good, so there is no way its just falling off or getting pushed off by the wave maker.
I strongly suspect my clowns, who hate me and everything else, but its not on the side of the tank they call home, which means they're making a special trip over there to knock it down. Is they typical behavior?

Do you have hermit crabs or snails? I have had mine knock some over while doing their job. They sometimes can stay to pick around the edges while cleaning and knock it out. Just a thought.

Yes I agree with crabs or snails over clowns. Our clowns love us. All our fish are smart enough to know we are the bearers of food

I wouldn’t be surprised either way. I’ve seen it all; including many territorial clowns that hate any and everything that isn’t exactly how they want it. (Although generally occys and perc are well behaved). All animals that we put in our tanks have their own personality and wishes. Swimming 4’ or so to fix something is a non-issue for a fish.

My first thought was a snail, but I the rock I have in there has a perfectly sized frag plug hole in it and it was in there pretty tight. Its also the only plug that gets disturbed, which seems suspicious to me. My clowns hate me, they bite the crap out of me every time I put my and in there for anything. I finally got a 2 foot rubber glove to wear when I put my hand in and it scares the daylights out of them, they retreat to their corner pretty fast!

We are lucky, we have nice fish. Well they’re nice to us...maybe not so much to each other sometimes lol

I have a pair of clowns in my biocube that will attack anything i put near their anemone

That makes sense though. Protecting “their” anemone. Just randomly knocking a frag over? Maybe it’s a fun game for them.

Maybe they want your hands back in the tank for another bite. Lol!
