Why does my light go out

I have a current nova ho 8 bulb t-5. Its on its own Powerstrip with 2 timers one for acentic and one for white. I have all my pumps and power heads on a seperate strip so when i feed I just shut that strip off. Both are working off the same outlet. When I shut my pumps off sometimes it takes out 2 bulbs out of my fixture which like i say isnt even on that strip. I have to wait a few minutes and turn the pump strip back on then turn my lights off and back on to get it to fire all the bulbs back. If I dont wait a few minutes it will not fire. Any ideas, am i causing damage?

I know where there's a 90 with a stand, sump, pump, canopy and lights...
