I am about to send my g1 lights in to become g3 lights. The upgrade package includes the regular TIR lense. I can spend 70.00 more and get the wide angle version. Is it worth the extra money?
Are the lenses only $30? That's something you could do yourself really. Obviously you'll have less par in the center but a wider spread. Shallow tank like I have I'm using the wide lens but deeper you wouldn't want to .
They are going over a 90 and yes it's 35.00 for a single light fixture. Yeah I know I could do it myself, but they will have my light fixtures anyways.
Oh ya, 2x the cost ...
I'd probably stick with standard on a 24" tall tank but I'm hardly an expert here. I'm sure someone has had that conversation before on RC or something similar.
