A 90 gallon? I bought a Tank ( Standard 90 glass)

Im hoping to put 2 Mp10s on the tank. But worried the thickness might be to much?

Anyone know for sure?

Also Looking for a Mp10

I have 2 MP10's running on my 120 ... 1/2" glass. Ecotech says max 3/8" for MP10's I believe, but I'm fine on 1/2". There was another thread on the topic if you search. Several folks running MP10's on 1/2".

Thanks John! I have the Spacer also. I just want to make sure. Id get a Mp40 but id rather not drop that kinda Moolah just yet

Two weeks! I move into a New place and get my bigger tank all in the same day! Tired of this Small Nano!

I wonder if they do this to deter people from buying the cheaper mp10s??
My 93 cube has 3/8 glass.

I would guess it has more to do with liability than marketing but I could be wrong.

I'm as pessimistic as the next guy about marketing motives, but I wonder if the magnets that drive the in tank propeller are designed to be a certain distance from the magnets on the drive motor? This would account for why they have a spacer for thinner glass, too close would be as bad as too far.

personally from my experience, it only works pending what speed you run them at. If you choose to run on them on thicker glass and at max, you typically will shake the magnet loose.

I run a MP10 on the back glass of my 90g and haven't had a problem yet. It runs at about 70-80%.

Exactly what I do ... my 120 with 2 MP10s on the back and 2 MP40's on the side. Runs up to 100% in eco mode. Only thing I notice is they aren't on as firm as the mp40's. Performance is the same as the MP10s on my 30 cubes - spec glass thickness.
