So I had this chalice that was perfect yesterday but now it's almost a complete skeleton. I'm at a loss ,everything else looks fine . All parameters I can test for are normal. The only thing I don't have a test for us magnesium, amonia, nitrate, nitrite. and no tds meter for the rodi. I know I should have those, but I guess I figured its been established long enough ammonia and such shouldn't be a problem .

You are missing most of the test kits but maybe something near it stung it or alk swings cause rapid die off in chalices

I agree with Fido, you typically don't see that kind of thing overnight if the corals is healthy. Unless you've had a drastic change or it was stung.

Nothing near it, so it had to be a swing in parameters . And I have a small tank, so that was probably the cause, there is still some flesh, any chances it will come back

Maybe. First thing you need to do is test the water (or have it tested) ASAP.
I've got a Miami Hurricane that is all ducked up due to Tech M treatments. It's been moved to my frag tank and is not getting worse. It's not getting better either (need better lighting) but it's not dead yet.

Edit:

What are they at now?
What were they before?

So I have aquavitro balance its around 7.8 ATM. How often to add blalance it normaly is 8.2

What's the temp? I'm guessing alot of people woke up to toasty tanks today.

7.8 is fine, don't go chasing PH you'll likely make it worse.

Chalice are fairly hardy, most shrooms are beginner corals. If your losing them rapidly you have major issues and it isn't 7.8 PH....

Like something got into the water ? What do I do? Water change , how much ?

Do you have GAC, if so get it in the tank now.

If you have water on hand I'd start a water change with as much as you have or up to and no more than 20-25%.

Edit: Poly Pad would and should be tossed in as well..... is of course if you have one.

I don't even know what GAC is and I can do a 25% wc

The 20-25% water change should be to buy sometime to troubleshoot. You may need to substantial increase that once the problem has been identified.

I would put it high on the suspects list. I would check for stray voltage from equipment as well.

Oh OK, no but I can get some when my husband get home from work . How do I check for stray voltage
