Worm ID/ what to do with it?

found this worm in my tank, not sure what kind of bristle worm it is, but the wife wont go near the tank if I let it go back in, I would feel bad killing this guy, if anyone wants it, as some people like them as their great at cleaning up, its about a foot long, otherwise not sure what to do with it.

The worm is a bristle worm, he is part of the clean up crew-a good guy! Don't pick him up, he has sharp spines that will come out in your skin-they will cause pain, redness and swelling. I have had it happen to me lots of times!

At that size, I'd toss it. They can stress fish and other livestock.

I disagree that it's a bristleworm. They're usually thinner and orange and white (ish...)

Hard to ID for sure but it almost looks like it could be a Eunicid worm. While I'm always the first one to say, "Love thy worms," I think I'd err on the side of caution this time and eliminate it.

Still sitting in a bucket alive I might add, I didn't want to flush it, and I didn't want to put it outside for a bird to eat and die from the bristles lodging in it, I feel a little bad about it.

If you're concerned about disposing of it humanely, put it in a bag of tank water and put it in the freezer.
