Not sure if anyone else shares the same views as me but I personally feel that an aquarium should really compliment a space it is in. It should appear to be a high end piece of furniture or presented in a way that it is showcased. I feel this is achieved through making your tank look aesthetically pleasing. We invest so much to make the inside of our tanks beautiful but sometimes neglect the outside. I think the easiest way of achieving this is having a nice stand/canopy. With recent advances in technology there has been a push to make equipment look good as well especially for those rimless types. Not to mention I couldn't do it no other way as my wife would not let me have a fish tank that didn't compliment the space. Happy wife=Happy life lol.

With that being said lets see what you've done to "showcase" your tanks

Thank you, it's my favorite room in the house. Can't take all the credit my wife put it all together aside from the tank

very nice, clean, sleek looking room, defiantly the room I'd spend most of my time once I'm home.
tank placement for appearance is a must, if not how can you enjoy it?!

I agree with everything you said, that's why I'm taking my time with my stand. Where did you get the cabinet? And what size tank is hidden in it?

I bought the tank, stand, and canopy from someone who upgraded there tank back when I was in Texas. I have a 50 gallon sump/refugium and a 30 gallon ATO reservoir tank in there.

Oh, sorry, I meant in the smaller QT cabinet. Did you build that cabinet? And what size tank is it?
