You think it's photoshopped? Are Cherry Corals known for this?

Edit: I believe a convict.

Hmm I think it's been edited, but not as much as you may think. It looks a lot my convict. Except the eyes aren't as red as the picture.

Purple/pink eggcrate should be a dead giveaway. That guy's pictures are so unreal.

Never saw a coral like this but if the eggcrate has been in the tank for awhile wouldn't coraline algae start growing on it and make it that color?

Yes but compare the coraline on the frag vs the coraline starting to grow on the crate :P. I also believe its photochopped.

Not what I'm talking about. There is coraline on the eggcrate, but the entire picture has a pinkish/purplish sheen to it.

Look at this other pic by cherry corals. These are new SPS frags. The frag discs are pink. They are supposed to be white. Look at the top edge of the crate. You can see where coraline is growing. The other part should be white, but it is also pink. Deceptive marketing. That is what I am talking about.

So all you are saying is that I need pink sunglasses to make all my corals look like the ones in Cherry Corals. Awesome.

Hmmm, I took a look at the pic in PhotoShop and adjusted the egg crate color to near-white -- it was MUCH less impressive.

I'd rather see real life pics so I actually know what I am getting, not this played with BS.

I'll try and get a shot with a familiar coral in the background/next to it. But you can always come check it out for yourself.[/QUOTE]

Well, what is he going to say? "Pics taken under Radium 20K then played with so they look better than they really are?" I ran Radium 20Ks and they never made white eggcrate pink and never colored white frag discs pink. He's doing something whether he says so or not.

Nice invite up to Michigan to double check his corals, hehehe.

What looks the most sketchy to me is the detail of the coral especially around the edges. To me it kind of has a cut and paste look to it.

The more I look at it, I'm almost certain it's a photo of a coral superimposed onto a piece of rock.

I think they are real pics of real frags, but not a realistic representation of the color you will have in your tank if you buy them.

Sad thing is, some of these online sellers can simply play the "your color may be different due to different water conditions, equipment, and lighting" card.
