? wrasse owners

i just get a wrasse the other day and he is doing great! he even pigs out on the flake food i feed my clowns! does anyone have one that will do this as well? only reason i ask is because i am going to be getting a few more and want to know if it will be possible for me to get them to do the same thing? i feed more than just flakes but i only feed that once a day and do the flakes more than that. just kind of curious....

Feed a combination of flakes, pellets and pe mysis. They all will love you.

my old sixline wrasse ate flake, my new possum wrasse wont, least not yet. he likes meaty foods and picking off the little snails in my tank.

My 12-line ate anything that I put in the tank. My Melanarus Wrasse does the same as well. He's fat and happy!

PE Mysis, Live Black Worms, a tiny bit of Hakari brine shrimp with spirulina, & Selcon....don't forget to treat with Prazi-Pro, too!

I have a new Blue sided fairy wrasse that eats every thing I put in the tank except shrimp pellets.

Most wrasses are pigs and will eat anything presented to them.

There are a few species that are a bit more finicky, but all should be eating prepared foods before you buy them.

My flasher and filament wrasse love to eat the brown/red algae sheets that i feed to my tang. They love the stuff?

I feed twice a day, sometimes 3....

My tamarin wakes up first around 7:30, so I will give it some PE Mysis with Selcon.......

In the afternoon depending when I get home, I feed all the fish PE Mysis & that brine, with Selcon.....

At some point I'll feed live Black Worms.......


By the way, I briefly rinse the PE Mysis & brine in RO, then add a couple of drops of Selcon.....


YES, most wrasses will eat about anything, but that doesn't mean it's good for them or the tank.


There are some days that I only feed once, albeit rare....I work a variety of hours and days.....
