im looking to get an r/o unit... any suggestions? it will be my first unit so the simpler the better. if anyone can find some good deals online, please post the link! my price range is 200 tops, hopefully im not being too cheap

check out air, water, ice. They're in the sponsor section..they make some incredible rodi units..and they don't have to be dismantled and rebuilt correctly!

I know lots of people brag on the PWC ones, but Ive seen waaay to many post about having to "fix" them, get new fittings, hell... even use Weld-On!..

Yep... mine was one of them... leaks plus missing o-ring creating another massive leak. They took care of me but it was a week or more before I was up and running.

If I had it to do over, I'd have spent a little more and bought a higher-quality unit.
Mine has worked fine since, though.

I have a used one (has double DI) I'll let go for $50, will need the media replaced!

Had my PWC 150GPD unit up and running since April. Had to re-tape one fitting. Just checked TDS last night, 74 going in, 00 going out.
