That pic is the coral equivalent to an instagram model. No chance it looks like that in real life.

The other thing you cannot tell is how edited the photo is. If that is true color then it is amazing

R2r is a pretty good source. I’ve found a few pics pretty quickly and they do look fairly accurate.

It seems like it’s a lot more purple than blue from the pictures I’ve seen.

Its blue because the photo is taken under full actinic lights. The polyps are glowing because its also under full actinics and the contrast in that picture is turned WAY up.

The picture in that thread was taken under full spectrum lights and was not edited.

This is why I HATE buying corals online. That coral is REALLY nice, but based on the first pic I would never buy it. If I saw the pic in that thread I would buy it.
