My clown fish are currently hosting my xenia. Im concerned because i know whole colonies of xenia will die off for no reason. So, if this were to happen, what would happen to my clowns. Would they be o.k?

They would probably just find something else to host. My clowns switch back and forth from a toadstool, to a flower nem, to a giant hairy shroom. Once they make one mad enough to close up they move on to the next..

They'd be just fine. However, I've never known anything to just die off for no reason.

Although I'm sure it has a reason, we just don't know it. Some people can't keep Xenia at all, and others can have it for a long time and suddenly it just disappears. Yes, Xenia just dies off for an unknown cause.

there are a couple people here that would love their entire colony of Xenia to die off..

nah, your clowns would be fine.. mine (ocellarius) don't host anything either..

I wish mine didn't. They really tick off the corals! Just listed them for sale.lol

Thank you all for the responses, im very relieved now. Why does everyone want their xenia to die, i love mine!
