My yellow polyp colony that used to be bright yellow in color is now turning into a dull greenish yellow color. Does anyone know what could be the reason? The coral is sitting on the tank bottom. I have a 480W T5 light. Could it be low lighting?

Mine is a 125g.
PH: 8.25
SG:1.025
Nitrates:0
lights: 480W T5

The coral is growing like crazy and spreading fast. Its just that it lost its beautiful bright yellow color and kind of looking dirty dull green.

This is the 6' long aquaticlife T5 that comes with 6 T5HO 39W Actinic lamps and 6 T5HO39W 10k giving a total of 468W. The bulbs are about 8 months old.

Unfortunately I dont know the par on the sandbed. I have a waving hand Xenia next to this coral and that is doing very well. All other corals are maintaining their original color.

Should I replace the 6 10K bulbs with the 20K lamps?

I will surely try that. Most of it are attached to a small rock and I can move it up. The rest have spread to larger rocks that are impossible to move. I will see how this goes.

I have 250 W MH lighting any my Yellow polyps are at the very top of my tank. They seem to like their hight.
