I will try to post pix tonight, but honestly it is hard to get a good picture of. It really looks like a light yellow spider egg sack attached to my LR. Any ideas?

I could live with sponge. It doesn't look like my other sponge. The other sponge I have in the tank looks like spilled candle wax.

I don't think its bubble algae. It has more of a spider web consistency. It is opaque not transparent like bubble algae. I have dealt with that already.

Sweet. Thanks for bearing with my awful descriptions. I need a pro to come look over my tank at some point and tell me what needs to stay and what needs to go. I am having a feather duster vs. aispia (sp?) debate right now. Why does good and bad have to look so similar?

Have you checked out the common hitchikers thread in either new members or reef discussion. If you click on the forum itself, it'll be stuck up at the top. It has a ton of pictures and descriptions of both good and bad things that pop up unknown.

That sounds about right. I just wanted to know for sure I wasn't going to get some of those nasty SW tarantella hatching and eating all my live stock. :lol2:
I am pretty convinced that my little white things are feather dusters.

Except for the vermitid snails. But even that seems to be up for debate. I think a baby six line will be the next fish, so maybe unless they get out of control before then Ill just give him a snack.

If it looks like this your tank has tonga sea herpes. JK its a pineapple sponge...:)

The questions now again with pix. i think the order is feather duster, pineapple sponge, vermitid snail.

Don't think 2 is a pineapple sponge based on the pic, just looks like a normal sponge that hitchiked in on the LR.

It is really hard to get a good pic of it. Based on other photos of pineapple we were thinking it was not either. Those white specks do not appear to really be there, and it is a pale (pineapple) like color. Any other suggestions?
