Zap's 90gal Journey

So today I embark on getting my 90gal setup up and running.

First task is to build the stand.

Thanks. Yeah I was going draw out a sump design to convert an old 29 gal aquarium into a sump but another member found one that's already made

So I cut down my stand height from 40" to 34".

Now here is where I'm at. I have this sump but it doesn't have a compartment for a fuge.

Any suggestions on what I could do for a fuge besides getting a new sump?

The front section is taken up by the inlets and the filter sock. I don't think there is room in the last section because of the return pump.

Im still trying to plan that out. i was maybe thinking about two outer doors with a barn yard style middle door.

You can put a remote fuge in. Like a 5 gallon tank or something and rest it on top of the sump. Have a T from the return to feed the fuge and let it gravity drain back into the sump. Ideally if you put the fuge higher up behind the tank or besides it you can gravity feed it into the tank. A lot more pods will make it into the display. You can also look at doing a chaeto reactor which is basically the same concept just in a closed compartment.

What would you do for nutrient export?

I does vodka/vinegar (diy nopox) to control nitrates and run GFO for phosphates. I feed very heavy and this keeps my nitrates between 10-25ppm and phosphates .01-.03. Great for SPS.
