Zoa hanging by a thread.

So this zoa plug came loose and is dangling by a thread. Should I cut it with a razor or just let it snap by itself? Should I be concerned about toxins in the water or maybe the zoa getting infected? Thx

You can cut it or leave it be. Nothing to worry about even if you cut the thread
